“To have the skill of knitting…makes it possible for us not only to make something but it makes us skilled in general. The use of the hands is vital for the human being, for having flexibility, dexterity. In a way the entire human being is in the hands. Our destiny is written in the hand.”[1]

My name is Zoya.  Like any creative person, I have done a variety of artistic work in a number of different disciplines, focusing on textiles (including Tambour, a form of highly-detailed embroidery), fashion design, and jewelry making. Knitting lace was my hobby, but it has become my passion. I became so interested in knitted lace that, for the past two years, I have studied everything I could know about this intricate art form. I also developed Easy Lace Board©, a technique and tool which has helped me knit almost any lace pattern without frustration or worry.  I would like to share with you my passion for knitting lace and show you that creating detailed, delicate, and beautiful lace knit work is possible.
